Unfortunately, breakups are something that everyone has had to go through at least once in their life. It can be extremely difficult when you loose the love of your life and all you can think about is getting back with him. Sometimes the reasons are obvious as to why he left in the first place but other times its not that simplistic. In some cases it was the woman who left the perfect guy only to realize that she had made a mistake.
Now the big question on your mind is 'how to get him back'. The first thing you need to do is find out what made you break up with him or what made him break up with you. The reason behind the breakup is one of the most important pieces of knowledge you can know when you are learning how to get him back. If the reason had anything to do with one or both of you being controlling, possessive, abusive, or a cheat you may want to think hard before you go through with the rest of the steps.
Do you remember the reason he wanted to be with you in the first place? If that reason has changed about you this could be a key reason he left. You should go back to being the girl that he met and fell for in the beginning, Many people have been known to change personalities or become much more open with what they say or do. Take memories of great times the two of you shared and share them with him; this may help him realize that he is missing out on something. If you ever wore an outfit around him that he absolutely love, wear it again and make sure that he sees you in it. Again, this will help him see that he may be missing out on something now that you are not with him anymore. This isn't to make him jealous but just make him see what he did in the past.
Talk to him, whether over the phone or over coffee, let him know how bad you feel that things didn't work out and that if you were given the chance you would like to try again. Just be flat out honest with him. Girls don't realize it but a lot of guys love it when they are being honest with them about how they really feel. Ask him what went wrong in the relationship and if there is any room for fixing the problem.
These are just a few of the great ways to help you learn how to get him back. You have to realize, though, that you cannot make him feel something for you if he does not. The only way you will be able to get him back is if he feels the same way about you as you do him. Trying to force a man to be with you can only make him hate you. Also, if it seems like he is taking advantage of you, break it off immediately and leave him alone.
